I started using lights in my work when I went to participate in a residency program in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2007. I went during the Christmas season and was overwhelmed by the masses of decorations and lights that illuminated the city. I was inspired by the gaudy yet somehow beautiful decorations and decided to start experimenting with this medium. (via)
